White cleats would also look great, very slick, like back in the 70s. No black in the uniform, so why wear clumpy black shoes?
Silver "britches" with the red jerseys and red helmets, white socks and white cleats at home. Then go with white pants with red and black stripe and white jerseys with the black numbers for away games. On occasion, break out the black helmets on the road, and black helmets and jerseys to "black out" night games in Athens.
Not a fan of black socks and cleats, looks like army boots running around out there. If there is no black in the school colors, go with the white cleats with white KNEE socks, maybe with a solid band at the top. And for goodness sake, pull 'em up above the calf and use tape if you have to. Makes the sprinters look extra fast as they streak down the sidelines. Remember Chris Davis?
Love the white helmets and everything about them, but a center stripe that matches the stripe on the pants could be a subtle change. Just for fun, I would also like to see an alternate helmet in blue to wear with the all-white uniforms for road games.
