Complaining about the officials already? You must not be feeling very confident....
LSU most definitely has a shot, but Hayes is good at getting out over his skis too much at times.....he did so concerning Georgia is past years before Kirby changed things.
StLGator taking shots too...that reminds me that Florida football wasn't capable of winning championships until 1990....it started in Athens decades earlier. A lot of favors had been returned in Jacksonville many times in the years prior to 1990....and that returned pain is still evident in Gainesville now, too.....55-44-2
I would think that the most important question is addressed in the final paragraph....how long will the UF administration and fan base be patient with Napier's rebuild and culture change? With back to back losing seasons and a roster purge, it's difficult to envision an immediate turnaround.
I guess that's a nice deflection rather than explaining why he goes for it on fourth down so much and puts his team constantly in the hole.
In response to Braves1471 regarding Munson, how childish and uninformed. Reference to violence? ROTFLMAO! Munson spent some years in Tennessee broadcasting Vanderbilt games and had a local fishing show on TV in Nashville. Good thing you didn't watch the show, since fish being pulled from their habitat might have been too much for you to watch.
Whoever reported this at all without checking it out, should have to pay Russell a big sum for not checking it's legitimacy FIRST. This "rush to judgement" mentality of today's media should get very expensive when false information is "released" or "speculated upon". They deserve the Nicholas Sandman treatment.....all of them.
So...."the Gators neuter UGA this year?" THIS year? LOL.....you are mad bro.
Spurrier cannot get out from in front of a TV camera...he's the Anthony Fauci of college sports.
Very likely indeed. I'm on board that Spurrier is invested foremost, like he has always been..in Spurrier first. He had a lot to say when all was going well, but got quiet when it's not and he's not getting his way (leaving UF at the end of 2001 season and SC in the middle of 2015). He will speak up in an attempt to remain relevant because he craves the attention. Appearing on ESPN College Gameday a week after he quit in Columbia on his players and coaches is evidence proving this.....
Finebaum and the other media clowns always push these narratives for personal attention or ratings....and if Georgia comes up short come December, all he will remember to refer to is "unrealistic fan expectations".
The odds are higher that "Mr. Truth" works for Dan Mullet.....
Remember about a year ago, it was Herbstreit who insisted that the 2020 college football season was not going to happen....he said it...and to pass that along from "people in the know" was reckless and embarrassing.
Pruitt coached under Propst at Hoover High IIRC. Sometimes the apple doesn't fall far from the tree......
Michael Wayne, you’re scraping the bottom of the barrel. There has to be more relevant stories out there for an employed writer of SEC football topics.....
Yeah, Derrick Brown had already cleaned that account out....
As a Georgia fan, I have enough negative thoughts on my own to even pay attention anymore to rival fan comments...after all, we're now at 40 years and counting. This defense could be very vulnerable in the secondary, which seems to be the problem position group of the season (2020 was QB, 2019 was receivers). I just get tired of the media hype that starts way too early with little historic justification. When reading lines like "there’s no reason at worst it can find itself in the top 4"....well, we've been snakebit too many times and disappointed too often at the end of many seasons to buy into what's written about the program in the off season. Can't the media just temper expectations a bit and see how the 2021 season plays out? I am honestly and cautiously optimistic, but grounded in the reality of the last forty years....
I was told that Dan Patrick "gets sloppy" with 12 year old boys. I have zero evidence of course, but that's what I was told.
Azeez's strip sack turned the momentum and he will be praised by Georgia fans for not opting out, putting the team first and playing in the bowl game. He was the difference maker and his sack/safety on the game's final play will be a great memory for him for a lifetime....
This Grantham defense seemed eerily similar to his last squad at Georgia in 2013. That was a very young and talented bunch that didn't improve as the season went on and often looked lost even after the snap and late in the season was no different than early on. His NFL concepts don't seem to translate well to the field with young college players....
Mullen is 0-2 vs. Smart as a head coach. He brought a favored Miss. State team to Athens in 2017 and lost 31-3. Smart got the best of Mullen again in 2018 when Georgia won by 19 points, 36-17. After the way Smart and staff have been recruiting since his arrival, I expect more of the same in 2019, particularly with Grantham still in charge of the defense.
Good luck at Oklahoma....glad we dodged the prima donna bullet.

No Scott Woerner or Charley Trippi?
