Ugh...typos are miserable today The most egregious being, the bottom set of statistics are points/game not yards
I wasn't claiming that bias is the only reason just it does have bearing in this other similar situations. With that said, there are two side of ball so while your offensive stats certainly make a better 'eye test' then you have to consider UK looks better on the defensive side of the ball. UK: 332.2 yds/gm UF: 344.8 yds/gm UK: 16.3 yds/gm UF: 20.4 yds/gm I realize offense is more appealing/sales tickets/etc. so it should be weighted toward that but to say the name on the jersey has no relevance is a willfully ignorant stance. As a UK fan, I know it certainly exists for us in basketball and acknowledge it readily. We have decades of tradition and that has relevance in human decision making
I think it would be foolish to not accept or ignore the fact that team bias exists. Florida is traditionally a better football team and as such, they (the blueboods) will always get the nod. Now that can be changed but it's not going to be one magical season or especially one game, good (UF at home) or bad (UT on the road). Be consistent and we will consistently be ranked better, biasedly, and that I believe is perfectly fine to accept as a UK fan
I have no problem with this. It's the rule, it's clear and it was a violation. The only problem I have is, I didn't join in and we didn't get 'our money's worth'
I agree with this assessment save for the MacGinnis section. Being able to consistently to kick 50+ yard FGs in college isn't realistic and while I wish he was better than 1/4 from 50+, I am very happy with his other distances and think we have quite a weapon 2/2 20-29 3/3 30-39 3/5 40-49
I was big on Vandy coming into this week but the man is right. If 59-0 isn't an F, then even the Bill Curry Kentucky days would've received passing 'D' grades
Typical coach speak but still, the fact that it's plausible shows the strides UK has taken
