How well Auburn does going forward depends on the health of the running back corp this Saturday and how well the newcomers step up if needed to step in and contribute. Right now, its looking 50-50 and even worse if Auburn is able to move forward into the championship. The SEC grind is brutal.

I love what I see on offense, a lot of potential there, but I'm still not satisfied with the pass defense, particularly in the backfield. Playing too soft on the man-to-man and San Jose was able to poke holes at times in the zone coverage. It was our Achilles heel last year and looks to be the same this year. Maybe Coach Malzahn should call Mickey Andrews now that he is retired and hire him as a consultant.
