You are exactly right! The call hurt really bad but the offensive play calling on OM’s last two possessions along with a couple of horrible drops and clock management. Both defenses were were reeling by then and when Kiffin slowed down the tempo of his offense it killed any type of rhythm they had and the gimmicky running plays backfired. All in all both teams tried hard to let the other team win at different times during the game and OM ended up out sucking Auburn in the end.
Potential fumbles are reviewed every time especially when there is a clear recovery by the opposing team. In this case the fumble in question resulted in a scoring play which makes it even worse because it seems they review every scoring play in the game these days. The call was garbage and if you can’t admit that you have no business calling and sort of athletic competition.
This call wasn’t affected by either rule you just cited so maybe you should study up before you jump on here trying to sound smart.
So Auburn got no favorable calls and had to beat their opponent and the refs just like against Arkansas right? If a call like this or the one in the Arkansas game had gone against Auburn you would be crying like a little girl. Calls are blown in every game but these two calls were absolutely trash.
You are in absolute denial mode here. One moment you say he moved his pinky back in a dang near impossible way the next you are trying to reason with yourself why that call didn’t matter.
