Wow...what a troll..got us Bama fans good. Coastal Carolina..the juggernaut.
I get it's a surrender cobra. Just dont think the word hilarious is a great adjective. But, I did click on it and that counts for you guys. Sooo you got me.
Coming from a Bama fan, I really feel for Jarrett Stidhan. Although maybe not a 1st round pick, had he left last year, he would have been drafted in the 2nd or 3rd round. Dude has a cannon..Now, I’m not so sure. If Auburn had the true ability to look inward, they would realize this is nothing new. I almost wouldn’t blame Malzahn for intentionally tanking the season so that he can get paid to leave. Auburn fans just chew there coaches up. Last year everybody wanted to put Gus in the Iron Maiden until he pulled 2 huge wins out of his ying yang. Then, After beating UGA and BAMA, it was reach arounds for everybody. Last year after AU gave Malzahn that ridiculious contract, I remember responding to umpteen articles regards Gus’ huge raise and buyout. I said that next year(this year) you guys would be screaming for his head on a pike again..And you are, AGAIN. Who would ever want to coach in an environment like that? At one point, Auburn was paying Terry Bowden, Tommy Tubberville, and Gene Chizik at the same time. All great coaches. And none of them were the head coach anymore. Obsessing over trying to compete with Alabama year in and out has truly created a toxic environment for the AU nation. I dont mean this as a ding, but it’s the facts. Nobody in the country can compete with Alabama on a year to year basis at the moment. Most programs realize that whether they will say it out loud. Auburn will be much better off as soon as they acknowledge that as well, and start trying to compete against everybody else besides Bama. If you happen to beat Bama like last year well that’s just gravy. But dont expect it. You dont have to lower your expectations. Bama is just on another level at the moment. One that has rarely if ever been achieved in college football history. There were PLENTY of great coaches available last year. Which is contrary to everything I heard coming from the Auburn faithful. The only reason they threw the checkbook at Gus was because he beat Alabama. If I remember correctly, I dont think Alabama had a scholarship player left on the roster at linebacker. Alabama was banged up and injury besieged when it limped into Jordan Hare last year. And somehow, for that game and the UGA game, AU managed to catch lightning in a bottle. Unfortunately, the lightning has now melted that bottle. Due to the asinine buyout Malzahn has, AU is in my opinion going to have to get creative if they want to release G.M. of his coaching duties. Maybe hire an unknown on a performance based contract, instead of just pulling up to there house with a dump truck full of money. I mean, what’s the incentive to coach there ass off when they are going to get spit roasted over the coals week in and out? Wake up AU..Take off those blue and orange glasses for a minute.
