So let’s take a look at this. Phil originally got the head job running an end around on Johnny Majors, then did same to get AD spot. He ignores viable coaches with successful winning records in the collegiate ranks and hires an unknown HS coach who “coordinated” under Saban who he knew would underwhelm Vol fans expectations. A pitiful start, and Phil puts on his Big Orange cape and Vol Nation drinks the Orange Kool Aid and he’s back on the sideline. This is a masterful strategic move orchestrated by someone who has baked his way into ever job he’s held. Old coaches are in fashion, ask UNC!
