No they don’t. This is silly. Bama beat UGA. No world in which UGA should have been in over Bama. FSU was annihilated by UGA and opt out excuses aside, we all knew they would be by watching their games without their QB. Michigan beat Bama in overtime and then smashed the title game. Michigan is clearly the best this year.

Even NFL players can’t just decide to transfer to a new team every year. It’s incredibly unstable and ruins college ball more when we treat them like NFL jr league without any of the constraints players and teams have in the NFL (salary caps, contracts with terms and such).

No he is very talented. But he is also a classless sellout snake, which indicates character issues to me. Will he be a team player if he doesn’t get all the carries he wants or if his perceived easy path to the playoffs doesn’t materialize?

Yea no. I wish him a very long and fruitful career as a car salesman after he falls behind on the UGA debt chart and remembers fondly his days as a starter for UF before he became a snake and joined our revival for a perceived easy path.

He would recruit better and win more than Napier. Why would it have been an awful hire compared to Napier? I like Napier as a person, but we pay them millions to win.

1) the SEC adding an Indiana football team would be beyond stupid and if the SEC decided to be NFL jr it probably would be the last straw for me to just walk away from college ball. 2) I think Kiffin would do wonders at Florida and I wanted him last hiring cycle. I have to believe we would be chasing playoffs by now with him instead of Napier.

No I hope his draft stock tanks and he is 4th string. You are supposed to hate your rivals, not join them and abandon your school

Napier and co are frustrating as can be, and yea we suck, but this is such a pathetic move. What a little b. College ball is becoming so soulless.

This is good. But I’m not getting excited about us hanging onto the #16 class when we were aiming for top 5. This is like “great news, I know you thought your investment would double, but we managed to keep it from losing half its value and now it’s worth 75% of what you put in!”

If he won a few more games and there was the impression that he was improving the team, we would probably still have a top 10 class. Kids bail for winning programs over a program they think is on the downward trend.

DJ is for now, but first sign of mediocracy next season and I expect he’s done. But Strickland should be fired now to clear the way for next era if (when) Billy disappoints again.

Bright spot. Ok keep Napier for now but fire Strickland. Let’s see what happens but if next season starts looking bad, cut the cord.

Nice. I was there for law school and worked a few years after. In the village mostly. Actually did enjoy it for a few years.

I honestly pine for the time when I can hate UGA again, but let’s be honest they have passed us so far and their game is now just a given L. FSU saga gives me some hope we can be relevant again, in 3 years at least…. When we are fighting UGA for bragging rights I’ll feel more hatred.

You should feel bad for us. Honestly I’d even feel bad for yall if you ever feel this hard. You won’t though. Large SEC programs doing this is a black swan even. We are witnessing historic awfulness.

I’m normally an optimist but what do we have to hang our hat on right now? Hoping against all evidence that somehow Napier is going to completely change the trajectory of everything next season is just silly. Midway through the season I was still holding out hope. But c’mon man, there is no silver lining to this disaster of a coaching hire. I’m not particularly excited about another unprecedented losing season and pointless year for us again. This is NOT our standard and we should not tolerate the powers that be running our program into the ground and then setting it on fire and pis ing on it to put it out.

But the good news is Miami and FSU are in top 5 now, or just short. Our other rival UGA is 1. Tennessee and LSU are ahead of us now too.

Meanwhile we are falling out of the top 15, perhaps top 20. The one positive was the great top 5 class Napier was bringing in to turn things around… if DJ doesn’t sign can we just throw a bucket of money at Kiffin?

Sigh….. looks like another lost season coming and no top 5 class to give us false hope. Hope there are some interesting coaching candidates next season.

Meant to comment here. Napier better not have this class fall out of the top 10. If he does, he honestly doesn’t deserve a 3rd.

If our class drops out of the top 10 then I’d actually want Napier fired now.

Going to be honest, I miss coach Mullet. Should have just hired an army of recruiters for the price of Napier.
