I’m going with the latter. Outstanding recruiter AND evaluator. Players learn the right way fast from him, play hard for him, and get better and better. Really well liked and respected by his peers, his players, his bosses and administrators. Proven history of loyalty, and always welcome wherever he’s been. AND a fresh offensive mind to THIS group of coaches (sorely needed), which is going to have a synergistic effect that will reverberate dynamically throughout the team. Gators just got SOOO much better! Billy(N) finally showed me that he can get to a core issue problem and come up with the right answer. I don’t know about Austin, but I have hopes. I know this team’s offense just got a whole lot better.

Mertz certainly raised the floor in the QB room, mission accomplished. Mertz could blow the roof off. I think he’s been grossly misused and will shine in a breakout season. Guy has reams of experience and talent. AR sucked last year, but he could run. AR will suck for years to come. Mertz can’t run but he might turn into a good QB. AR might too.

Lost my paragraph! FSH! I’m a hunt and pecker so I’ll cut to the chase. Gators are not reloading or remodeling, it’s a complete rebuild, maybe closer to a do over. Bama and dawgs simply plug and play with blue chip upper class men. We need minimum 6-8 starters from the portal, and a superb finish to this year’s class. Kiffin has become a good football coach. He’s also a pretty good recruiter, and pretty smart, so he was never going to Auburn, just playing them off O’M for a raise etc. Even though he’s still surprisingly immature, he wouldn’t subject himself to those clowns on the plains. LSU won’t be in the playoff even if they win out. Too many other contenders with 1 or no losses nationally. IF they play undefeated UGA and win, UGA goes to playoff as the only SEC rep. Why? The only peeps mentioning Deion for anything other than huckster are psychophants eager to see themselves in print. Even so, Deion isn’t desperate enough to do Auburn. I hope the cats ain’t better than the Utes. That was one mighty tough, well coached team with a fantastic game plan. If uk is better and tougher, then the Gators better eat their wheaties, bring their lunch, and buckle up cause all hell is about to break loose! But if the cats are who we think they are, then the Gators will look like the Utes did in the second half minus the red zone brain farts. I thought the gators would win going away last week, NOT. Good win against a tough complete team. Another tough team to prepare for next week, albeit without their best player. A sober article with cogent comments. I personally think Billy is fundamentally a superior coach without the now obvious character flaws of his predecessors. Therefor, while I agree with the possibility of a terribly disappointing 7-5 floor for this team against a very difficult schedule, I think we will go 9-3 losing to the obviously better dawgs and a$m, and possibly slipping up against one of the toss-ups.

Fact is we need TE, OT, DT, Slot, LB. Fact is it HAS to be GA as first priority because happiness goes thru the SEC championship game, then FSU, and UT has been a given for so long I almost forget they used to matter.
