I agree on the "credence factor", but must admit that this is a pretty spot-on list. I will watch EVERY one of these games w/ the possible exception of #24 (Marshall @ WKU).
REALLY?!? Mountain West Mountain Members: Air Force, Boise State, Colorado State, New Mexico, Utah State, Wyoming vs SEC East or PAC 12 North or B1G West or even ACC Coastal? Drop any or all the those MWM schools in the divisions I listed and see what happens!
One thing that isn't mentioned in the article and is often forgotten is that in the 2013 season BA played severely injured, but trooped on. His stats took a critical hit because of this. I believe in his game management and intelligence during the play and have full faith and confidence in him. More importantly, the team believes in him and trusts him to lead.
LOVE college feetsball... will even watch Sisters of the Blind vs. Podunk State because of the passion in the players and the fans. So disinterested in the pro game these days that I can't even spell NFL.
As a Hog fan living in Knoxville, I'm already scoping for tickets for next season when the Razorbacks come to town!
Jim, the article is about the "disappointing" SEC WEST yet you include 2 SEC EAST teams in your breakdown and exclude 2 SEC WEST teams in your analysis. Carry on. Furthermore, PLEASE bring your Yellow Jackets into the SEC West to run thru that gauntlet week after week and let the cards fall where they may. As a Razorback fan, I would LOVE to have your schedule in any given year! PLEASE let us play Duke, UNC, NCST, VA Tech & Pitt instead of Bama, Auburn, LSU, MSU, Ole Miss and TaMu every year.
pglaze, was writing my comment as yours was being posted, but glad to know someone else on the same page
Saw this coming, but let's break it down a bit... SEC W #2 loses to ACC #2 SEC W #3 loses to Big 12 #1 SEC W #4 loses in overtime to B1G #2 SEC W #5 loses to Indy #1 SEC W #6 wins vs Big 12 #5 SEC W #7 wins vs Big 12 #6 Let's keep it in perspective.
No distraction... These guys are committed to their cause. And while they may be negotiating behind the scenes, their TRUE focus is on winning... and knowing that the win solidifies their negotiation positions.
One thing that I think gets lost in comparing conference bowl records is the fact that the SEC has generally sent TWO representatives to the Champ/BCS games which, also generally, only includes #1s from other conferences and not all of said conferences. Thus, the comparison to other conferences gets skewed as SEC #3 plays Conference A #1 or 2, SEC #4 plays Conference B #1 or 2, SEC #5 plays Conference A #2 or 3 or Conference C #1, and so forth. If the SEC #1 & #2 are both facing other conference #1s, more often than not is the SEC #3-9 is playing an opponent higher ranked in their conference.
The Ark backs will SHRED the shorthorns D!

Even as a Hog fan, I've actually always respected Mizzou. I think this "rivalry" has a chance to progress, MUCH more so than our initial SEC rivalry w/ USC which NEVER amounted to anything. Proximity, Mike Anderson, and if the Hogs win tomorrow would help build some cordial animosity. As for tomorrow's game, I think it will be great. I can see either side winning narrowly or handily. I have flopped so back-and-forth on this one that I wouldn't bet on it w/ YOUR money! My gut says it will be close, dramatic and have big plays on both sides but in the end will be low-scoring and close. Thus, I predict the winner to be...... CBS.
