That’s the most factual statement I’ve seen in a long time. Everyone bangs on Sherman but he was building one helluva program from the trenches outward and got cut short. Sumlin wasted that talent and never reloaded in the trenches. Jimbo inherited his mess and from the looks of it is at the edge of putting it all together despite key injuries.

You sound a bit sour, but I get it, your boys got pushed around Saturday. Jimbo is in his 4th season with his 3rd recruiting class. I’d say the progress is on schedule. Only the uneducated masses thought this season would have Natty written on it with 4 new starting o-line and a redshirt freshman qb, not to mention the reality of a backup and 11 guys out with injuries. The fact is that spite of that, he beat Saban and his crew in mental chess on Saturday. Yeah if we finish at 9-3 or 10-2, the season is a success with an upward trajectory. Think about this for a sec, he beat Saban with 4 true freshmen starting on offense and 4 on defense. Doesn’t bode well for Bama a year or 2 down the road does it?
