1st - Smart and staff have been allowing media viewing period at most practices. Therefore, the reports on Chubb are not heresay, they are observable fact. 2nd - Holyfield was back at practice full speed the end of this week. 3rd- The injury to Chubb was nowhere near as devestating as the Lattimore injury. Both were bad, but Lattimore's was career ending. Chubb did not tear his ACL, which made his quick recovery possible. Chubb is a different breed, a once in a generation back. Barring another injury, he'll be back at full speed in short order. He may not get 100 against NC because UGA is likely to limit his carries. It won't be because he's timid.
I think UGA gets Hardman and Price and that's it outside of a "filler" signee at receiver. Brown looks like an Auburn lean. Robertson wants to go out of state and I think the two Alabama LB's will sign with Bama, along with the safety Taylor. Burns looks headed to Florida. Still, the class will be a solid group and 2017 is already looking very good.
This is clearly a case where Smart and the new coaching staff were not interested in recruiting this kid. Davis is a great talent, but, for whatever reason, he does not fit the mold of what the new staff is looking for in a receiver. Davis has publicly stated as much, saying that Smart and company have not actively recruited him since they came on board. I'm glad he still has options at two great schools and wish him the best.
