Before I continue onto another article, can anyone UK fan in here give me a legitimate reason as to why we’re emphatically underestimating Kentucky against a South Carolina team that is effectively worse than last year? They won on a field goal to East Carolina & got absolutely mailed by Georgia. Before you say “BuT it’S gEoRgIa bRo”, consider the fact that genuinely good teams will find a way to keep fighting for most of the game. The disparity in the programs was evident in the opening possession of the game. Please stop overestimating these bums when we beat them by 48-14 last year with a middle- school offensive scheme. Beating Missouri has become a way of life for Kentucky at this juncture.

I’m certainly one of those fans that expected us to challenge Florida for second in the East, as it is absolutely imperative for the progression of our football program. We simply cannot sustain the inconsistency over the previous four years under Mark Stoops, despite all of his success, & expect the fanbase to be content forever. It is essential that Kentucky continues to improve because we have accumulated a substantial amount of momentum. I’m not about sentimentality, so if we’re approaching our ceiling under Mark Stoops, then we must find a replacement who can take us to the next echelon of college football. Period.

Ask literally everyone beside yourself if they are content with where the team currently is. Stop with these lackluster expectations & actually hold our coaches + players accountable. Even they know they’re nowhere near where they should be.

I frankly couldn’t care less how many years that you were a “fan” of UK football. Considering how we are accustomed to success with basketball & demand excellence from them everytime they step on the court, I cannot feasibly comprehend why you don’t scrutinize our football team to the same standard. We don’t need loser mentalities if we’re going to be a successful program. The “any win is a good win” mentality is derived from mediocrity, & it deserves to remain in the gutter.
