What a bunch of random, arbitrary BS. Just another click-bait article from Neil Blackmon.
So will Saturdays Down South, as long as they employ lame ass click-bait artists like Farner.
I wish my school's head coach (and staff) worked as hard, and as passionately as Hugh Freeze and the Ole Miss staff! It is amazing what he has done at Ole Miss, after Houston Nutt left the program in shambles!!!
It is a state rivalry game. These are always spirited and unpredictable. Much ado about nothing!
As LSU slowed gained a bit of momentum in the 2nd half of last week's game, Razorback fans were just waiting for the Tigers to make the game a contest. Yet, To the sounds of boos from the stands, many Hog fans were absolutely gobsmacked by Coach Miles' inability to manage the game. It was a series of mis-steps and guffaws, yet Coach Miles never called a time out to get the team collected and refocused. In fact, the television cameras zoomed in on Miles to find him, mouth opened and appearing dazed. It seems to me that that mojo robbing offensive series, and all of the uninterrupted miscues sit squarely on Coach Miles' shoulders. It seems he took the team out of capturing momentum by being harried and indecisive. I have never seen an LSU team look that unorganized on offense. And, by the sounds of the fans in the stands, I think their displeasure was more than evident.
And a big SCREW YOU to all of the Brandon Allen haters in the Razorback Nation!!!
We also learned that Les Miles is a game management train wreck! I am a bit astounded that very few analysts and sports casters haven't put this loss on Coach Miles' shoulders. As much as my Hogs dominated, LSU tried to get back into the game and it was a laughable series of blunders, mid-steps and miscues...with Coach Miles looking absolutely bewildered on the sidelines, yet never calling a timeout to regain composure. So, YES, my Hogs dominated. But, it almost looked like Coach Miles sabotaged (not saying - intentionally) his team's hopes of getting back into the game by allowing them to trip and stumble play after play. Thanks, coach!!!
Who is "we" and what comments are you "mysteriously" alluding to have heard?
Oh, but of course... Saban is all about extolling the virtues of the institution of college football and giving all of these college athletes a great and memorable experience. Yeah, right. If he was such a man of virtue and committed principal to the institution of college football, then he would have admitted (long ago) that the school's last trip to the BCS Title Game was a rip off to many other schools, and to this same institution of college football...to which he feigns such disingenuine reverence. What is truly good for college football (Nick) is that your team was beaten fairly on a field of play. What is truly good for college football is that this year's title winner EARNED their championship fairly (even though I loathe the Luckeyes). What is good for college football is that the once powerful Big Ten re-entered the arena as a competitor and champion...getting away from the over saturation of our conference's ego - the SEC. What is good for college football, you blind opportunist, is that the field of opportunity is more open, more plausible for many more teams to enter the arena to potentially win a national championship. What is sad is that you play naive to the fact that the BCS played right into your program being at the right place, at the right time, using the conferences weight as proper leverage to put you right where YOU wanted to be to claim the grand prize. This was good for Alabama, good for the perpetuation of the SEC's mystique, but bad for college football and sour fans of other deserving programs, who had as much right to be where you were, but weren't part of the SEC's bullying cult of personality. Time for college football to get BACK to being a more open competition, and for you to earn every step ON the field, not in the polls. BAM (not Bama)!!!
Whether the moniker (used car salesman) fits is one issue. It may be well deserved. But, the quick assessment of the new Florida coach by this AP reporter seems (to meh to be also very suspect. If I was a Florida Gator fan, I would be more upset with a "team" reporter creating and stirring a controversy before this new staff and the team can even begin to chart their course. It is distracting and divisive. It also seems more than a bit narcissistic that this report makes himself part of the story, rather than simply reporting.
The "U of GA?" Hey, Chrissy, do you know why the state of Mississippi is at the bottom -- in EVERYTHING? Because morons like this try to make clever posts while driving their riding lawn mowers down the center of the highway, instead of doing ANYTHING productive. Pay attention to the road, Unibrow!!!
Possibly because he isn't going to be an immediate starter for Tennessee, like the five players mentioned will be, for their respective teams. And Hurd is no slouch, right? There are plenty of JUCO transfers into the SEC that will make massive impacts (like WR Dominique Reed, as mrshaver posted), but not all of them will immediately fill slots in the starting line-ups. But, having them there on the depth charts could make a huge difference for many teams.
Another simple and evident sliver of evidence that Brad Crawford could've found, had he done any fact finding, prior to posting this drivel. A tweet from Darren McFadden, admonishing Arkansas high school players who attend other SEC schools. Hmmmmm, very revealing that Pettway retweeted this. AND, this was incredibly easy to find! https://twitter.com/dmcfadden20/status/364580820071088128
Not just no, but HELL NO. He isn't flipping. After the Texas Bowl, he tweeted, "that's me next season!" Enough said! Honestly, Brad Crawford, did you ever think of doing any due diligence before writing your article? Like MAYBE checking his Twitter feed? So much for investigative and insightful reporting. D -
His head snapped back because it was an illegal hit to the chin...and intentional! The look on his face, and his demeanor afterwards , showed that he knew damn well what he did and that he was guilty. He protest was token at best.
Actually, Bielema's alma mater and makes far more sense (for Bielema ever leaving Arkansas) than Nebraska does. He is a diehard disciple of Hayden Fry, and rightly so. The Cornhusker head coaching position has been reduced to nothing less than a lateral move, no longer a move up. Just another part of the changing landscape of college football.
WTF? Are you frickin serious? Oh crap, you ARE serious! WOW!
Just like Jefferson, former lineman from UNLV.
But, Bielema has a proven track record with transfer QBs, the point of the article. On the other hand, Les Miles ensures that Death Valley, is where QB's dreams of a potentially bright future, go to die...or transfer "from." Right, Les?
WOW is right! A lot of rationalizing and apologizing in your uber-defensive post. I saw the game, I saw the play. The Noles weren't in a 2-minute drill situation at that time, and your recollection if the event itself is perfectly cloudy. The ref crew is part of the field, part of the game, and Winston acted egregiously here. Yes, he should've been ejected from the game for "PUTTING HANDS ON OFFICIAL," which players are not suppose to do, intentionally -- PERIOD!!! Plus, if the head times keeper feels a ref impeded play, he can put seconds back on the clock. That is the head times keeper's job, not Winston's. Beyond the play itself, all of this "he is twenty years old" apologetics is irrational (and f'n stupid, too). Where do you learn how to process logical thought? It is this blindly grouping everyone into the "well everyone did it" pool which makes all of you Noles fans simply deny the obvious and show your stupidity. There are plenty of 20 something student athletes who are the antithesis of this thug, personally holding themselves to a higher standard and being stellar student-athletes. Using your own weak line of logic against you, why is it that Winston is acting like he is (at 20), when these other 20 year old student athletes are raising the bar on character? That is what "they" are doing at that age!
Enjoy your one "out of the ordinary" year, bulldog!
Despite all the Bo bashing, it is obvious that Arkansas, which started with a suspect defense, has been trending upwards since game 1. And, it can now be argued that Arkansas is putting one of the Very best defenses on the field in the SEC. What other SEC teams has two conference shut-outs? What team held Bama to its lowest offensive production this season? What team held Amari Cooper to his lowest game production as a starting wide receiver for Bama? What team held Mississippi State to its lowest offensive production of the season? Same for LSU, Ole Miss? A-R-K-A-N-S-AS! WPS!!!
