Whether or not Harsin can coach or not is questionable but he either can't or won't recruit and that is the heart of a top tier football program in the SEC. You can overlook last year since it was his first in the SEC but look at this year's recruiting. Last in the SEC and does not even have any of the top 20 recruits in Alabama committed. AU does not have the talent to compete in the SEC and as I said, Harsin either can't or won't recruit - so the program has no chance in the direction they are headed. A change had to be made.

I know JJ had the interception problem and White is not quiet SEC caliber but our main problem last year was not who was under center but the high school coach we had calling plays. Our high school OC's play calling is a defensive coach's dream.
