I live in Nashville and I see Coach Franklin around town from time to time. That's irrelevant except to say that high profile people like him can have a relatively peaceful life in Nashville sans paparazzi and annoying fans bothering them when they are trying to go about their business. I'm not saying that this would keep him here, but it doesn't hurt. However, I wouldn't blame him one bit if he left for a better opportunity. What he's done for the Vandy program is enormous and there's no doubt that if/when he leaves, he will leave behind a better football program than when he got here, which is all you can ask for at this level.
I too, liked the Fayettenam reference.
I was so devastated by the loss, that this is the first CB blog I've read all week. I'm holding out hope for scenario 3. But I agree completely with allnOak ... playoff would straighten this thing out! Oh well. Roll Tide

I'm sorry ... what's the story here. WHO CARES?
I don't care who wins the East. I think Bama (or LSU) will beat whoever it is. BTW: I like how Jon called it "The other game."
Jaxdawg: I hope UGA gets to the Dome. I would love to see Bama or LSU put ya'll in your place.
Something feels weird about this Bama/Tenn. game this weekend. I have a bad feeling ... but it's just a feeling.
It's going to be a nail-biter. It will be the first (and the last time) in the regular season that both teams' fans will be fearing a loss late in the game.
I have a ton of respect for UGA, but that big-headed thing is nothing new. If you sleep long enough on the little guys, it will eventually come back to bite you (ie: Sugar Bowl 2010, Utah vs. Bama) I think this is a coaching issue. Obviously, these are young guys and it would be impossible to contain their immaturity all the time, but there has to be more discipline. Ever see Saban on the sidelines when one of his guys makes a bonehead move? It's scary. Richt is a good coach, but this is one area he lags in. They gotta finish the drill. Vandy is still an SEC team ... Any given Saturday!
Just because you can't prove something doesn't mean it didn't happen! You are going to tell me that with as close as Cam and his dad are, Cam had NO idea of his dad's wrondgoings. Gimme a break!!!!! No school has a perfect record, but c'mon. I'm not buying this.
Kyle: You are right ... Any given Saturday. MIss. St. could beat S. Carolina. It's more likely than Tenn over LSU, Vandy over UGA, and dare I say Ole MIss over Bama.
"Our economy is crashing at SEC speed." Bawahahahaha! This is the funniest thing I have seen all week.
