Three things: First, for the love of God someone tell OC shot that shotgun on third and short is stupid. Second, can someone please escort that same OC out of the building and back to St. Louis? At this point I would love to see John Lilly take over. Why? Because, did anyone watch th bowl game last year? Yes I know Bobo set the game plan up before he left but with a month waiting and then in-game adjustments we still bowled over Louisville. The offense looked like it hadn't missed a beat. Third, please give Pruitt a long tern extension on that contract. My goodness that D looks nasty. Yeah there are still some bone head plays/series but far better than anything Grantham ever did.
I have a bold prediction that whoever thought it smart to say SC stops Chubb's 100 yard game streak has to eat humble pie.
I am a Dawgs fan and I am still scared of thus game. Last week I told people it would be close with Vandy. This week I am worried we lose. Spurrier always loves taking it to UGA. He would love nothing better than to beat us at home. If the dawgs from last week play it SC 24 UGA 20. However, if the team plays to its potential SC 7 UGA 27.
Locstar77 I did see the Vandy game last week and unlike last year they actually moved the football for a first down. Actually several of them. If you look at the stats they have almost as many yards as UGA did there game. Yes I know it Western Kentucky but we only played ULL. UGA has history of struggling in Nashville; 2003 or 2008. If anyone was watching the UGA game last week should have noticed that if not for the delay of the game for a second time due to weather ULL was moving the ball with the momentum. That isn't to say they would win but for a while there we couldn't move the ball and score while they could. Add in that UGA is notorious for going into games like this flat and unis pored and you have the makings of a risky game. Thankfully Vandy only got its 12 because of red zone impotence. Luckily Viagra doesn't make a pill for that. In full honesty I see this being a game close for at least a half before UGA pulls away. However, if UGA continues to do bone head things then we could lose.
Hey, there was never a, this will happen or hate to UGA. People thought it crazy we could lose to Vandy two years ago and we did. How about USC last year after they were crushed by A&M. I know it's unlikely but I was merely expressing my pessimistic fear. For too long we dawg fans get so uppity about our chances and the opponents chances. Each year it's the year we do it. Well I for one am tired of the disappointment. Not to mention that the ridicule aimed at UGA fans for being unrealistic , delusional, or arrogant stems from such responses like above. Am I wrong about my prediction? Probably, maybe even most likely. However, it was merely my expressed fear. Hopefully UGA wins it as they should 42 -7.
I think the UGA Vandy one is spot on if not prime for an upset. I hope I am wrong but I fear it's UGA 10 Vandy 14. We choke to often and play down to our competition too much.
True we have that going for us be we have been there before. Granted those were the times we had Willie Martinez or Grantham as the D Coordinator. The D has a great pass rush and is decent in the secondary but has shown a good running game can really make headway. Even if the D was great all around I am pessimistic. I can't put it into words but anyone who has been a Dawgs fans for more than a year knows the mind numbing losses we suffer each year where it shouldn't have been a close contest, Vandy 2013 or SC 2012/2014. It is not all on CMR but there is that certain "something" that is missing with his teams. Until that is solved I can't take the build up only to see them fall. Nor do I care to hear the ridicule that comes when we fail.
I don't understand your teams identity crisis.
I am a Dawgs fan and I think that is to high if a win total. At least three losses if not more. I know people will call me pessimistic but I am tired of hearing this year, this year is our year. Well they keep falling short. However, not just short but with at least one or more ugly loss. I say until UGA finally lives up to expectations and gets out of its own way we go 8-4. Even more until the mental aspect that always leads to over confidence or taking teams lightly we will never win any championship, except for the Fulmer Cup. Which we at least didn't win that honor.
