when lsu went to texas in 2019 tthe golden band got the same treatment. however texas said it was a temperary situation because of expansion of the statium. lsu said they would retaliate in 2020 but that game was cancelled.

in an interview with a local radio station jimbo fisher might have given an indication of where things might be headed. when talking about renewing the rivalry with texas he excitedly said he loves games like that but added i hope we're both in the same "pod". also there is a radio man who covers just the big 12 and he adamantly says that leaving in 2025 does not negate exit fee in fact he said the exit fee is the exit fee and it does not change whether they leave in 2023 or 2025 or 2030. said he didnt know why the news sites get it so wrong???

the aggies wouldnt play the gator bowl because they had only 44 players. but lsu plays with 38. the worst part of the eveming was lsu's nation's longest streak without having a losing season (1999). horrible way to have such a streak broken.

first off if you are putting the top programs in the same pod you must include lsu in place of uga or florida. lsu hasn't had a losing season in 20 years, no one else in the sec cab say that. lsu is one season removed from a 15-0, heisman trophy, national champion ship. lsu has beaten florida two years in a row and during those 20 seasons have 5 sec titles and 3 national championships. poor uga always best in the land in august only to choke in december.

what lsu doesn't have is a championship program like clemson in the same state consistently winning the instate battle for talent, students and media attention. usc will forever live in the shadow of little brother.
