As a die hard Mizzou fan of 33 years of age, this one hits hard. I grew up seeing the pirate in the big 12. Fell in love with his pass first, second and third style. His interviews were stuff of legend. But even I rooted for the red raiders to do amazing against the likes of Texas and Oklahoma in 07 and 08. Leach was that likable. Though the SEC only had him a while, we've had him grace Faurot field for years. His love for his players and God were evidenced and shown time and time again. His antics and intelligence will be missed.. Fly your flag at half mast O Captain my Captain.. Safe winds and a steady course.. We wish your family all the best and love. God bless and Yo ho!

I think it is inspirational. I played football with a girl in middle school, she was not allowed to play in high school. I knew a couple girls that wanted to play flag football and were told no because they had parents that believed it was a guys sport. What is the harm to teach girls they can be kickers?
