Should have plenty left. No coaches buyouts on the ledger. ;)
Agreed, Falcon. Even Kirby said it will be unlikely to ever see a program come close to what Coach Saban and the Tide have accomplished. Barring any unforeseen negative turns for UGA however, Kirby has time on his side to at least pursue the D word. I promise you he would scoff at any of that talk. He’s always worried about the next game.
I like it Kirby. Winning a SEC title IS a big deal. We took it in ‘17, but Bama took the Natty. Last year, kudos to Bama they got it done it Atlanta. We want it, and other than Stet and maybe one or two other old fogeys, none of the current UGA kids have experienced it. A worthy first goal for sure. First things first though, LESS cowbell. :)
If playing for the NC almost every year since a prized assistant left, I’d say most teams would take it. We love Kirby, but the Tide/Saban downfall talk is simply premature. Watch him adjust again, it may result in some new hirings, but they’ll be right back in the mix.
Overreaction city. Not sure Oregon is ready for big boy football yet, but there will be some SEC opponents this year that are. I would expect UGA on paper to make it to Atlanta, but anything goes against the GOAT and an equally talented Bama. Let’s just enjoy the season folks. Napier will succeed in time at UF, UT and UK will bring their best games. Should be fun! Go Dawgs.
Ah, just something to pass the time until the actual ball starts. Still Saban’s world, and we’re just living in it for now. I would be surprised if we don’t have a rematch of the SEC title game again, but a lot can happen over 12 games. Ughh, August is the longest month.
While landing Manning would’ve been a headline winner for UGA, time will tell how his collegiate career will play out on the field. We all know the “can’t miss” prospects often don’t pan out the way they were predicted. Glad he found a place he liked, wish him success. UGA has a decent QB room without him.
Fine young man and football player. Be glad once he’s in the NFL, though I will enjoy watching him this year.
Well deserved sir. I’m not the only one to say OC calls are not our worry much anymore as opposed to most of the last two decades.
Second that. Most of our Tide friends are top shelf. Thanks for the nod, and hope to see y’all on the postseason gridiron next year.
“Get ready Junior. I love ya but I’m comin for your ass next year.”
Agreed Mr Truth. Georgia’s success is predicated from havoc plays by the D. Without it, Bama wins again.
I don’t think Stetson can beat Alabama by himself. He just can’t lose it with poor decisions. Yes, he has to be a game manager and get the ball quickly to playmakers. He has to extend a few drives with an 8 yard scramble. The o line will have to make room for a few 5 yard runs. The key is on the other side. If the front seven can’t get home occasionally to Bryce to disrupt a few plays and cause a little chaos, then Stetson’s performance will be moot. Simple as that. Same result as the SEC championship, maybe a little closer.
Wilson looks like a stud. Our North Georgia boy, Billy will do fine down there Gators. Give him a cycle or two. Again, the transfer portal, if used wisely, may accelerate the process. Interested to see still what GA and FL can do for the traditional signing day, if anything.
I was wondering the same, then read where the NCAA has allowed schools 7 extras to compensate for the transfers. So UGA technically could take 32 if I’m reading right, but will probably leave a little wiggle room for some late surprises in/out.
