I agree with you in general, but it seems that A&M doesn't agree with us. I saw multiple twitter posts during the Ball State game of fans in the general seating sections enjoying a beer. Now, these were all on the Old Ags side, so I don't know if they restrict it on the student side or not. But the fact remains that there was beer for sale in the general seating areas at Kyle Field last week.
