Not like he pointed out how either team could lose this game and still make a case for themselves as the year goes on. And it's not like he backed it up with 2016 and 2017 examples. Throw out the fact that it was actually a quick and enjoyable read and I suppose I could see how you draw such an awful opinion.
He's still really, really good. Scheming against him or not, he's still better than Jalen who led the Tide to back to back National Championship games while being schemed against.
Nope, not wrong at all. I see no fault in that logic.
"...and prove to the nation why they are the team that deserves to lose to Alabama in the SEC Championship Game." Ruthless. I love it.
I think he makes it on size and athleticism alone. We saw what that did for Josh Allen, Moorhead will help Fitz draft stock.
Well 500 yards rushing is a lot for a QB to get in 11 or 12 games if (when) they make a Bowl. It's going to take some effort if they want him to get that. I sure hope he does, would be a fun record to see a MS QB hold.
I wonder if Fitzgerald is going to have his sights set on that rushing record and if that will influence his play this season. I have no doubt that offense can do well, but that's a factor I am weary of for State this season.
Well I think you're wrong on your picks!
Losses: LSU (unfortunately) Missouri Mississippi State (very unfortunate) Kentucky Auburn Wins: Georgia over Oklahoma Alabama over Clemson Alabama over Georgia South Carolina Texas A & M
If they are not in the CFP and are a likely 1-3 round pick, they have no reason to play. The schools made plenty of money during their playing days and now it's the players turn to focus on their financial interests. No need to risk future earning to play in a meaningless bowl game. I do not fault the players for skipping whatsoever.
I am SO happy OSU wasnt' in, they were in no way deserving of it and that would have been shameful if they got in.
No, he found a picture of one of quite possibly the greatest walk on College Football Player of all time, which supports the basis of his article. You UGA guys are sensitive and blind, I don't get it.
You seriously took this as a slight against UGA? Wow. Take it at face value for what it is, an article simply showing the number of 4 and 5 star talent on current playoff teams to further enhance the recruiting conversation we are having right now. Seesh, some people.
I said it as soon as he was hired and this is the first indication that I may have been right. Wilie Taggart was the worst hire of any power 5 school this year. Sure he hasn't been there long, but what does he have to offer kids he is trying to recruit? He has jumped ship 3 times in a year and wasn't even close to dominant at Oregon. FSU will regret this one.
I am with you JC. I am not sure what to make of the early signing period but I am cautiously optimistic.
I was responding to gapine when he implied Gus isn't a five star coach. He beat a Nick Saban Alabama team multiple times, there aren't many coaches in the world that can make that claim. Which is why I said "you can't be serious."
It really is an impressive feat by Smart, especially if the recruiting class shapes up the same way it's being reported. I know that program wasn't in shambles when he took over, but UGA looks to be a dominant figure in the SEC for years to come. Factor in all that coaching turn over, and I think he's safe atop the SEC East for a long time.
I wasn't aware they were tucked away on their chart. Thought pickens were slim behind Etling.
They would really not be able to sign a QB? I mean Etling isn't awful, but come on O, you gotta do better than that.
Yea but you know what the south loves even more? Crystal Burgers.
Supplementing the class with a bunch of JUCO kids isn't a bad idea. They will play hungry and hopefully win an SEC for Pruitt.
Maybe he sees a chance to be a multiple year starter at Ole Miss and help pull a program out of the ditch. If he goes in, plays well, leads the team and helps to get the program back on it's feet, his NFL stock will rise greater than it would at Florida putting up average numbers doing "regular things."
Mike Leach to UT? That guy is so kooky and strange. He would have not lasted 15 minutes at Rocky Top. The weird Northwest is the best fit for him, SEC media, fans and players would have given him little to no respect. Leach was not a good hire and UT is lucky they didn't hire him. He has a 38-37 record in the PAC freaking 12. Give me a break.
Yea i'm excited about Moorehead too, but I don't know if he has "the best situation for immediate success."
