I saw Brian Wimbush in Jawgah's squeaker against that eternally over-rated Notre Dame team. Brian Wimbush is pretty fair, but he's no Nick Fitzgerald. On top of that, his supporting cast isn't very good. Jawgah is clearly better than LSU--or, at least, better coached--but Jawgah ain't 5 points better than MSU. Add Mr. Simmons and Co., and it will be the Jawgah offense that will struggle. Good luck with your freshman QB. Maybe after tomorrow, he'll become more mobile. Dawgs (the real ones) by 10.

Well, well...here we go again. One week back in the top 25, and writers with nothing better to do start the old "Dan Mullen is going to (fill in the blank) University. This time, the genius Mr. Spencer, cites "one coaching search coach source" (whatever that is) saying that Mullen might be interested in going to TAMU, who will probably can Sumlin as soon as he finishes anywhere from 5th to dead last in the West this year. Mr. Spencer and all the other great minds at SDS and elsewhere would do far better furthering their careers to write an expose on "Why Dan Mullen Will Never Leave MS State." BTW--the pockets are deep enough to keep Coach Dan on the payroll. His kids are still young. His wife absolutely LOVES Starkvegas, and he's becoming a rich man right where he's at. He wants to win a national championship, and he's recruiting more and more of the blue-chip talent he needs to do it. Why make a parallel move within the SEC and risk failure? One more time for the record, guys: He's just not that kind of guy.
