With all the SEC teams that are "ahead" of us losing in horrible fashion the Cats did good just hanging the W. It may not have been pretty but they did cover the point spread. I think we got pretty good players now that just need experience. Looks like the game with Florida could indeed be for second in the east.
I believe we are gonna see a couple of our Cats step up and do that this year.
Spoken like a fan whose team is going to get beat by the Cats again this year? That will be how many consecutive years now?? I forgot.
Hey love this site but dont agree Kentucky is on the "wrong side" of the gap. While I agree that aren't ready to truly challenge Bama or the Dogs I believe they are going to clearly demonstrate they have surpassed SC, Mizzou, and TN in East. While not at the top yet I believe under Mark Stoops Kentucky football is moving up the pecking order in the SEC and will prove it this year. If they can beat the Gators again look out
My bold prediction for Kentucky Football is this. Once again the game against Florida will essentially be the second place game in the SEC east. That is because later on the Cats will beat both SC and Mizzou proving those streaks are not flukes. Later in the year a fired up Kentucky team will beat TN in Lexington avenging the only really ugly loss they had last year. If Kentucky can beat Florida they will match their 10 wins from last year.
I can agree about Lynn Bowden but I also believe the Cats will have one lineman step up rushing the passer and one young member of our secondary step up and begin to lead.
I think the Cats are going to be really good again. Stoops has recruited quality kids and seems really good at developing them. We lost a lot but the cupboard is far from bare. The bar was set a little high last year but I believe Kentucky proves this year that it is indeed a program being built here. I can see 9 wins no matter how and who. I believe we get 8 regular season wins and another bowl victory this year. With what we will have coming in on defense next year the sky will be the limit for years afterward. While we may never consistently challenge Alabama and Georgia at the top who has? I believe if we keep Stoops we definably establish ourselves In the upper echelon of the SEC and hence college football. Looking forward to this year and several after it.
