I do not think James Franklin is the guy, and more importantly Nick Saban might approve of this hire, but not really for the reasons you mention. James Franklin is definitely not "everything anyone could hope for in an LSU headcoach [sic]."
You should tell people you're kidding. LSU will hire a head coach "of quality" and there is no doubt.

Agreed, plus I think despite his rah-rah spirit, I think Cochran greatly values discipline and self control and instilling it in his players. I like Kiffin and think he will be successful, but I don't see him as a tight reigns guy.
