I don't blame the O lineman, I blame the O line coach. The LSU shifts when the ball is snapped, to the left or right, I guess depending on the formation and the play called. That creates a gap, which the A&M D exploited. Orlovsky even pointed this out. Is this shift technique part of the RPO scheme or what? I can see why shifting would be effective for run blocking but not for pass blocking. Somebody who knows O line stuff explain all those free runners. It wasn't a matter of not being able to block the guy, there was just nobody there to block him. I don't know much about O line stuff, but I got enough sense to know when something ain't working, you do something else. Orgeron should be chewing out Gregg, not Finley.
