It's always fun this time of year trying to figure and decide where your team will be playing post-season. Ultimately, it depends on who wins the Championship, pecking order, etc. As a Carolina fan, I've wanted to play in the Citrus for a while. Perhaps that will be in the future. Best to all SEC teams appearing in bowls this year and next. 11/14 isn't so bad when it comes to representing a conference.
Now we all pay attention to moving trucks leaving Mcdonough, GA.
This coach loves his University and Players like they are his own. He will go to bat for all of the above. He is a fierce competitor. Very unfortunate that Parker was left off of the list. Hoping his leg gets us over the hump which is Clemson. Memories or accolades will not stop there. He will hopefully have a full bowl game left in Florida to play. Once Parker's time has expired, he will be sorely missed. Props to the Beamers for bringing special teams back into a relevant topic at SC.
Bad timing to be playing a team that has just found their offense. Much respect to the U of Florida and its fans. Still wishing Georgia fans could spell as well as their team plays. See you next year at The Swamp!
We in South Carolina love that the shine from our articles affects fans from other SEC programs (Florida, Georgia, etc) so much so that they feel the need to publish their thoughts and ideas underneath our news. One thing is for sure, whoever gets Delp will inherit one helluva player for 3 to 4 years. How foolish would you all look if he ends up in Ann Arbor. *snickers* No matter, Go 'Cocks! #DelpWanted
You think? You totally dropped the ball on recruiting. Towards the end, he was paying homage to his alma mater Florida by bon firing our program before he decided to move back to accept a position with them.
Hi Matt, I am a Gamecock fan, but I am not letting that fact sway my opinion with my response to your question. Although Steve brought an SEC & National Championship to UF, I believe that his best coaching job is still going on at (The University of) South Carolina. Let me explain. Before Spurrier arrived, we had mediocre recruiting classes at best, always seemed to finish last or in the middle of the pack - we could never rise above the hump. However we only accoplished this once since Steve has been here and made it to the SEC Championship Game (as you mentioned), he has proceeded to accomplish alot of intangibles. Fund raising for athletic and nonathletic programs, new facilities to increase our recruiting base, a new life to a stagnant fan base. He brought integrity and program prestige and coaching prestige to the position at Carolina. Regardless of if he admits it or not, Steve Spurrier is actively chasing Bear Bryant in the back of his mind. Although doubtful if he will be able to accomplish that feat, we can go ahead and give him a standing ovation for turning our program around the corner.
Raiding and picking up an Ivy League transfer wreaks of desperation. I am thoroughly disappointed with this move. You do what you have to do though.
