I hoped to see him get another year. I was afraid that it wouldn’t improve much but I don’t like firing early. One main reason I feel this way is because of this fact. I haven’t heard anyone say this, but State didn’t have the on field talent this year that they have had for the last few years. Admit it. We had some really good talent in some places but weaker in others. Just not a complete package team this time and not absolutely lights out in one area like years past. Think about it. The Dak years were strong on offense and helped the weak defense. Except his senior year where the parts came together. Then the last couple years very strong on defense and an average offense. For that I wish that the awesome man, and decent coach could have had at least a half year longer at the least.

Unfortunately JoMo would rather forfeit than play Thompson!!
