True. It just seemed that with all those discipline penalties and receiver issues, I was seeing Houston Texans 2.0 at Bama. He's not the head coach, but those issues are the same things that kept popping up for the Texans, so that was my assumption. Completely agree that Bama typically doesn't play like that.
$800,000 for Jimbo, plus a payout of $1,500,000 to Appalachian State to come play, and we dropped 2.3 million to get whipped at home. It's so awful it's funny to me.
"'I didn’t go back that far. Try harder.' I never said you did. Try harder." Cool. So your metric is to go back before most people on the planet were alive to justify "like they used to." That's fine. You've obviously got issues with A&M. That's fine too! I suspect most people couldn't care less what Team A did vs. Team B almost 100 years ago, but you do you.
"Ah, you’re gwhite’s inbred sister. Got it.." What on earth are you talking about?
Calm down. As @EKingGill states, it looked from some angles like his forearm was down. And where did I say anything about intentional grounding? Like most people, I assumed Bama would run away with that game, but Texas was clearly ready to play. The good news for Bama is that Nick Saban is a football genius and can most likely fix the issues from that game and improve. The bad news for Bama is you still have Bill O'Brien as your OC.
Facts aren't excuses. I'm sorry you missed the point.
Shhh. Please don't give the big money Ags any ideas. BTW, from an Aggie, y'all had a heck of a game on Saturday that you should have won. Y'all got hosed on several calls, especially that non-safety. I'd be livid.
"Texas will once again beat TAM every year like they used to." You have to go back several decades for the number of Texas victories to overwhelm the Texas A&M victories. How far back do you go? When someone was in high school? College? Paying attention to college football as an adult? If you go back to 1973, which is the first year the NCAA limited football scholarships, the record is Texas 20 games, Texas A&M 19 games. You want to go back farther? Great! As an Aggie, I have no problem admitting our football program has been historically mediocre. Texas was a powerhouse in the late 60s, as most fans know. They're one of the premier programs in college sports. But "like they used to" is doing some seriously heavy lifting here. Of course, if both teams continue on their current trajectories, then yes, we'll get a Longhorn beatdown when they join the SEC. Hopefully we'll have fixed our issues by then.
As an Aggie, I can confirm it has been brutually long already. I was at the game on Saturday, and let me tell you, the heat made a painfully inept offense even harder to watch. I really wish Jimbo would hire an offensive coordinator, but hey, I'm no expert. I don't make $800,000 a game to lose to a Sun Belt team. That's above my pay grade.
