I expect the NCAA to do their best to make this go away. Other teams get post season bans for players selling their own property.
Of course they were. Defenders wave complete anytime the ball hits the ground.
It had everything to do with their loss. Ohio State shot themselves in the foot repeatedly. That said, you can admit OHIO state cost themselves the game and still call out questionable officiating.
It was by definition targeting. He used the crown of his helmet. If he keeps his head up, he stays in the game. The problem being, there should have been an illegal hands to the face call on Clemson that same play, making it offsetting penalties.
If those 4 steps would have taken him to the endzone, he would have gotten a TD.
The only people who care about 30 years ago are Bama and Steelers fans.
I dunno how sellibg your personal property is cheating. Only according to the NCAA. Even the investigating official from the NCAA says it was stupid. Ironically Arkansas' coach during that game ended up getting fired for having an affair with a university employee and lying to the school about it. I wouldn't exactly call them a shining example to follow.
I'm not sure where you get they are a good team. They lost to an American Conference team. They lost to a team who in turn lost to a MAC team. They got abused by a team that could barely handle Vanderbilt, but I guess that's understandable. You guys seem to think every team in the conference is actually good.
Ohio State didn't handle it's business against MSU. Just like Bama didn't handle theirs against Ole Miss. Saying that Bama would stomp OSU because they stomped MSU is stupid though. By that logic, Florida should have abused Bama because they beat the team that beat Bama. The transitive property doesn't work in football. Also both teams had one loss. The ONLY difference in those losses was the timing. Had Bama lost in week 13 like OSU did (when the mighty tide was playing that tough FCS Charleston Southern team) would they still have made the playoff? Maybe, maybe not. Had OSU lost earlier in the season, there is a pretty good chance they would have been in the top 4.
