Going to have to wholeheartedly disagree. The SEC West was winnable when Nutt was coaching. Since then, money from the TV deals and competing with the neighbors has upped the game. Arkansas had a two loss season where their only two losses were in conference to the two teams that played for the national championship. Houston Nutt inherited a great group of kids, brought in some potential stars, and then blew it all to hell and got caught up in some off the field issues he repeatedly refuses to acknowledge when talking about Arkansas. Further evidence of this should be his Ole Miss team. Remember when they were ranked #4? How'd that go? We can talk about the good o-line from last year and Alex Collins/J Will but neither of them stack up to the four headed monster of Hillis, Jones, and McFadden with a mobile QB. Bielema inherited a John L. Smith and Petrino fall out wreck. No defense, half of our players weren't close to SEC quality and only had offers from small mid-majors because Petrino wasn't a recruiter, he was a developer with excellent in game management. You can't just flip the switch on that and we've shown steady improvement year after year since bielema was hired. Losing half an O-line, key defensive clogs and starting a new quarterback has you on course for 8-5 in the SEC west? Cut some slack.
