I agree. Which is why I believe Beamer was able to do what he was able to do in such a short time. It was the environment he created here. Players really love each other, and are willing to go to war with each other. Also, it's ridiculous for the article to think that Juice Wells jr would fall on his face. Has he EVER? No. He's a star. So how does SDS think he would fall on his face? Is Vann also going to fall? What about Jahiem Bell, will he also fall? What about Stogner? What about Kenion? And you completely left off several preseason standouts like Cory Rucker, will he also fall? How about X Leggett? And then there's the speedsters in A Brown, who has been unstoppable in preseason camp, is he going to fall also? And the speedster from Columbia U, Miller, will he also fall? And every single rb on this team can take the ball to the house at any given moment, with all of them catching the ball out of the backfield very well. Will all of them fall also? This article seems to have forgotten about the majority of the talent on offense for this team...
Lastly, this might sound like such a biased thing to say, but I can't see ANY one of the disastrous things happening, and I truly do believe ALMOST all of the listed "dream" scenarios will happen. I don't think that those are dream scenarios at all. They look exactly like what is actually expected to happen with the exception of number one, where we start off 5-1. I don't think we will beat Arkie and UGA, but I do believe we will get one of the pair. On the other side, however, IF we did beat Arkie and UGA, we would NEVER lose to UK. I don't think it will be exactly like it's listed here, but we will look a lot more like the so called "dream" scenario than the disaster scenario. And I'll wager on that one.
Riley didn't coach him, Riley sunk him. He benched him for Williams, because he knew he was taking Williams with him to SoCal. Rattler has a 74.9% career completion percentage. He didn't lose a game he's started since the first two as a freshman. How should he have gotten benched??? And he wasn't just a Heisman hopeful as they write here, he was the LEADING Heisman candidate and the TOP draft pick coming into last season. But the coach, who put his OWN future before that of Rattler, submarined Rattlers season for his own gain. And then he proceeded to jump to SoCal with Williams in his pocket.
Lol. Yeah agreed. How does a team that starts this season 3-0 lose to SC State or UK????
No I agree with you. That team that takes down Arkie and UGA does NOT lose to UK. I think UK takes a big step back this year with the loss of their entire defense, and their best wr in decades.
From a Gamecock fans perspective, this is what I see happening. This team is going to be much better than anyone seems to be expecting. The run defense was the glaring problem with the defense last year, but they have focused on it, and work very hard to fix it. And considering how well C White was able to fix several of the problems our defense commonly showed over the previous five years before he arrived, I believe his focus on that, together with upgraded talent will show a huge improvement there. And everyone knows about the upgraded offensive talent. The biggest reason that Clemscum was good over the last decade is now coaching in Oklahoma. So there's that... GSA – W Ark – L UGA – W Charlotte – W SC ST – W Ky – W ATM – L Mizzou – W Vandy – W Flo – L UT – W ClemPson – W
Just out of curiosity of an outside perspective, what is the question marks you see in South Carolina?
You shouldn't hold your breath on that one, as we have a lot more weapons this year, and will be trotting out last years preseason leading Heisman candidate and number one draft pick. Not quite the same as last years qb, who was a FCS transfer...
Yeah, Stoops wouldn't have made that comment if he wasn't worried about that very thing. And no they won't have to shut down decent qb's, they could just out-score them. Can't wait to get there.
You have no idea what either team will look like later in the season, so this is as far fetched as any other comment.
You're going to look funny with that dripping down the sides of your mouth later in the season...
Two good hires would have kept it going in Columbia. But that was more than SOS was willing to do at the time. At least he's honest about it.
Of course it's his fault. LAZINESS!!!!!! It all started when Shane Beamer decided to join his father in VA, and instead of SOS going and finding the best Recruiting Coordinator he could find, as they were winning 11 games a year at the time, he decided to promote his idiot son, jr. Steve Spurrier Jr was the worst coach on the staff, and surely NOT a recruiting guru. So that was the beginning of the end. Then when Johnson was offered the head coaching job at Southern Miss, AGAIN, instead of finding the best D coordinator he could get, he lazily promoted Ward, who had NEVER been a coordinator, on was only a secondary assistent. Horrible, horrible choices. They killed what was a top ten program year in and year out at the time. So yeah, Steve, IT WAS ALL YOUR FAULT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why don't you just go ahead and put them in dresses. That's what this is all about. This is NOT about safety. This is the left doing everything they can to muddy the waters between men and women. They think anything masculine is toxic!!! So little by little they keep taking away really manly things, and making them less so. Football is a "MAN'S" sport! Stop eroding all of the manly things about it. It's pathetic how wimpy this country has become. We give way toooooooo much consideration to women and gays. It's all over movies and tv. Men need to stand up and fight this allowance to turn everything feminine.
I definitely think this is a result of Wonnum deciding to play for the Gamecocks. Good luck to Benson, but I'm 100% in preference with Wonnum instead. The numbers are thin, so something had to give.
It's very easy to go to the video to see how dirty those Mizzou players were playing in the last meeting between these two teams. Such is life, mizzou. Get over it! Once good turn deserves another. If you treat people a certain way, you should be expecting at some point it's going to backfire on you. Well, POW!!!!!!!!
Yeah, and go back and look at the blatant fouling by mizzou in their last meeting, where Aja, and ALL AMERICAN was fouled out by unfair refs.
Are you just trying to be funny. Everyone knows UGA is the worst place to go see an away game. I watch a father, with two young kids get attacked after a Gamecock win at UGA several years ago. And UGA fans throws cups with piss in them, and even glass bottles. You have NO room to talk.
The reason Bo Scar was less effective running in this game, was because they ran him from too close to the line. He never had a chance to get that big frame moving before getting hit. They need to back him up, so he can get those legs churning, and have a chance to see where the best hole is. That would make a huge difference in his attempts.
You are such a liar!!! You'd get on your knees for Mayfield if given the chance. Hell, you practically on them now.
Man, you truly are an idiot. They gave up 48 points to one of the top offenses in the country, in a playoff game!!! Stupidity must run in your family.
Wow josh!!! Are you as ignorant as your imbecilic comments? Whether Mayfield was distraught or not, neither of you know for sure as you are not him, the fact is he allowed his emotions to roller-coaster all over the place. And it cost him the game. The Dawgs shut him down in the second half, and he became less effective. By the way, those sec teams who lost were playing without their coaching staffs who left for other jobs, or double digit player losses who decided against playing. If you think Notre Dame is a "bad" team, then you truly are a moron. And you seem to forget about Georgia looking good in this game, Miss St looking good in their game, as well as SC looking good in beating a much higher ranked Mich team, where everyone picked Mich to win. You seriously need to get a clue. The SEC has been dominating for decades. So if we have what some might be calling a down year in the bowls, then we are due. And it's really funny that a down year in the bowls includes TWO SEC TEAMS PLAYING IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!!!!!! MORON!!!
That is a ridiculous statement. You can't compare a playoff game to reg games. Of course they played better than a reg game. They had an entire month to come up with ways to kill tendacies, and practice new plays. You don't get that in a reg season game. So try to think before posting.
We've got enough for Mich. And if we had Deebo, it would have been over early...
We started out horrible on offense. It was to be expected seeing as to how we had a guy calling plays that had never done it before. And while I think he did the best he could do with the experience he had, IT IS NOT ENOUGH EXPERIENCE OR SUCCESS TO BE HIRED AS THE FULLTIME OC HERE. Too many of our fans think small. We are a team on the rise, and this is a sought after position. Coach Muschamp has made many mistakes hiring OC's in the past. His future depends on him making a much better choice here. WE WANT BRILES!!!! He is the best fit for this program, and under him Bentley will flourish, and Joyner after him. This offense has a ton of talent, especially with Deebo Samuel coming back next year, Edwards, the two Smith's and all the rb's we have. Briles is the man to take us to the next level. Anything less than that and I'd almost bet on coach Booms clock starting to tick...
No!!! Our offense was horrendous for much of that game. I love BMac, and I think he is a great WR's coach. But he is NOT a fulltime OC. And Will Muschamp will be making the same mistake for the third or forth time if he promotes BMac. WE WANT BRILES!!!!!! LOOK AT BRILES RESUME!!!! WE WANT BRILES!!!!!!
He didn't punch her. He slapped the crap out of her. Don't misrepresent the facts.
It's not retaliation. It's use of force. If a police officer is assaulted, he is entitled to use force to subdue the attacker. And sure this officer did this, quickly and quietly.
You are an idiot! The main person who needs to realize the differences between the physical strength of a male vs female, IS THE FEMALE!!!! And if she forgets to respect this, then she gets a quick lesson. Case closed. No matter what tv tells you, women are NOT allowed to just do whatever they want because they are the weaker sex. They have rules and boundaries just like men. And when they cross those in a precarious way, they get a serious reminder that they won't soon forget. I'm not for any man abusing a woman. But concurantly, I am not for any woman abusing a man either, just because they think they can get away with it. Nope! Not going to happen.
I'm sure you are the top participant in that contest...
