Bama alumnus

Yes, they did score 4 touchdowns -- 2 of them in "trash time" long after most of the starters were on the bench, resting.
I am a Bama alum, and this has been my point, all along, esp in convos with people who are fans of teams in other conferences. They all want to point to the weakness of the SEC, this year, they want to cry about Bama playing Kent St. and Chattanooga... but unless someone believes that they don't even deserve to be in the CFP, what does it matter? If they really are no good and overrated, they will get demolished by these supposed "for real" teams, and they won't win the NC, anyway. That will get settled on the field.
Maybe I'm missing something, but I thought that Alabama would be the #1 seed (if they win the SEC Championship) and OSU would be the #2 seed. As such, I thought the brackets match the #1 seed vs #4 seed, and the #2 seed vs the #4 seed, is that incorrect? I'm not following how, unless Bama loses to UF, they would be paired with OSU in the semi-final game.
I've read this article twice, now, and in some ways, I wonder whether the author and I were watching the same game. AU had some good defensive plays, and did get some good stops. But to say that a team played "tremendous defense for long stretches of the game" seems a bit of a stretch when Bama only punted twice, racked up 500 yards of offense, had 20 first down, and kept the ball for more than 15 minutes longer than AU. I respect the fact that AU had a lot of talent and generally has a strong defense, but I felt that they were pretty much getting dominated, in all phases of the game, for nearly the entire game and especially for the second half.
I don't wholly disagree with the notion that AU posing a legitimate passing threat would have changed the look, and possibly the score of the game, if not the outcome. But, I would also hasten to point out that AU's O-line did not do a good job with pass protection for either of the QB's, today, and with all of the drops that even wide open receivers made, when the ball did manager to actually get there, I'm unsure as to how much more offensive production would have been gained by White's presence. It would have given Bama more to worry about, to be sure, but the unknown lies in whether White could have had more success at executing, if he was being chased around and harassed, all evening.
Hmmm... Well, remembering that UT only managed 10 pts on Bama, with about 160 yards of total offense (when Hurd AND Kamara were in the backfield), even paired up with UF's defense, I don't think this combo would get it done. Just my opinion.
