as usual i heard on fox yesterday afternoon, we were 1 point away from tie in the sec record for most points 1 game, 3 articles on here not 1 mention all bout defense, you think were goin to show you what we are goin to do with you big ol boys when your offense has to try and keep up with us hope you doin cardio SEC we comin for some records baby ;)
Yea and Mizzou's D was "projected" to be pitiful, so much for "projections"
Well done David very intelligent and insightful comment, you'll will get the ship righted. The commenter pointed out the 4-2 weakness and sure enough Mizzou started exploiting it, I kept waiting for an adjustment on the D and never saw it. Not looking forward to seeing you next year, you always play us tough.
What a crock of dodo it's hard to see from the angle but the QB lowers his head into Beckner's helmet. There are going to be times when it can't be helped, I think the rule should be targeted(no pun intended) toward intentional hits not hits caused because the movement or dipping of the player, at this rate players are going to realize it's just like taking a dive to change the momentum of the game, by getting penalty and ejection.
Mizzou being unimpressive in an "easy" game. Our "cupcake" went to a top 10 teams house on opening weekend and ran up 401 yards, they gave up 28 points in interceptions and they sacked the top 10 QB 5 yes that's 5 times. Mizzou went to their house the next week and held em to 217 yards and only gave up 1 sack, Maty was horrible but the point is we were away. Last year Mizzou traveled to "cupcake" Toledo and won, why doesn't any of the top teams travel to one of their multiple "cupcake" games every year? I think the results of a lot of these "cupcake" games would be a lot lower and in fact outcomes would be different in a few of em.
Agree 100% he looks worst then last year, in that you would think he would have learned better, also agree there were bunch of drops but several were horrible throws that experienced WO's would had problems catching. Was really disappointed that coach didn't give the kid(Drew) another opportunity for 1 more series seeing that his 1 throw was an INT, doesn't seem like much of a confidence booster.
No offense Vol fans but SDS had you all ranked 11th in final power rankings last year, the Sooners finished 4th in the big above 9 but less then 12 last year. Send Stoops to one of our top teams house's and then let's talk.
Yea I agree OK record since 05 101-33 5 conf champs. The Vols were 65-61 with 1 div champ in same period. You expect a team like the Sooners to win handily aka last year 34-10, instead of 24 margin maybe 14-18 since at the Vols. The Vols took em to 2 ot's I think that's dang good.
Kendall Brothers, 16 tackles, 10 solo, 1.5 tfl, 2 interceptions including one to stop last drive
hehehe just confirms what I've been saying for 45 years, jayhawks suck.
Hmm, let's see SEC West: Oklahoma, A&M, LSU, ARK, Mizzou, KY, Ole Miss and Miss. St. SEC East: VOL's. Dores, Bama, AU, Florida, UGA, USC and Virginia.
OK I'm not whining here. But I think it is unfair to the program at Mizzou(and I guess the baggies) that our picks in this period aren't included. Our time was as good as what we have in the SEC and most importantly, all those 8th graders out there reading this think oh Mizzou only has 1 and our one1 chance to inprint Mizzou in there mind is gone. No Sean Witherspoon, Blaine Gabbert, Aldon Smith, Jermy Maclin or Ziggy Hood. So all they see is bama, warwrens(or whatever), gators, vols. Just add to their recruiting advantage.
Mizzou ranked 38 in 2013 recruiting ole miss 4th. bama 1st, lsu 5 au 11. With those kind of recruits any more then 1 loss is a disgrace. Mizzou will loss a few even a rare drop to a bad team. Mizzou played 10 bowl teams and beat 8 80%, ole miss 11 games 7 wins 64%, bama 11 games 9 wins 82%, lsu 9 games and 4 wins 44% AU 11 games 6 wins 55%. What a waste of talent, one of these days the good recruits will see that Mizzou knows how to coach and develop all stars and they will start signing up to be Mizzou made. Then instead of just being in the top ten in wins and Top 5 of NFL 1st rounders since 2007, we will get the national championships.
Proud of Mizzou helping carry the SEC banner! I keep reading articles about the dumpster fire that is the Big 12 and I am so grateful we got the chance to move to a great conference and away from that loony bin. Great work Stec good luck at MO St. And a shout out to Terry Beckner, sign up so you can be the next NFL top 10 DE pick.
Oh my lord that must be a misprint Mizzou ranked in the preseason! That's a first.
Wild wings was Mizzou's payoff from the league to make sure we had a playoff rep. That's much better treatment then we got in the Big 12 2007 for example.
That's funny, I have always considered myself a southerner as a lot of Missourian's. "Missouri saw over 1,200 distinct fights. Only Virginia and Tennessee exceeded Missouri in the number of clashes within the state boundaries."(wiki) we sent over 40,000 troops to support our southern brothers. When Mexico opened Texas to US immigrants Missourian's were be far the largest group to respond. We say y'all and I guess some of us eat grits. The Missouri compromise clearly defined Missouri as a southern state. I thought we would be welcomed but I guess I am going to have to turn in to a Yankee. Not
Danged if you do danged if you don't. I am afraid that if Mizzou wins this the rest of the SEC will unite to invade Missouri! I still feel like only conference champs should go to playoffs but nobody else does. I am sure the SEC has pulled Coach Pinkel and a few key players aside and begged them to lay down in this one.
Rankings should only decide seeding, win your division, you go to the conference playoff, win your conference you go to the national playoff, simple as that. If your an 11-1 division runner up don't loss that game next time. What about the Big 12 simple get a conference championship game like everyone else. It doesn't matter who Mizzou played or beat or lost to, they win the conference they go to the playoffs. If you don't like it win more games next year. Seattle went to the playoffs a few years ago at 7-9, look at the NFC south this year or how about NC St. in the final four against Houston. Whine and moan all you want just win your division conference etc. Take Care of Business. Expand to 8 teams then you could have some wild cards, until then quit crying and start winning!

Yea and that time is Saturday December 6th 2014 at TBD when Mizzou "get's lucky" again and wins the SEC. Funny how we have more Division championships then your team but you guys have tons of respect and are the saviors of the SEC. This always happens in power transitions, the new guys don't belong, lucky etc. and the old guard is injured or down. Mizzou has a top 10 record since 2007 in the 2 toughest conferences in football, come talk to us about winning and respect when your team gets to where we are son.
Opps meant teams not times LOL and unlike the strong running programs GA, Arky, Wiskey etc we have a QB in Maty that can run and throw the ball downfield.
The thing that stands out to me about Mizzou is that since the Florida game coach Pinkel has figured out how to manage Maty and the offense, using a more balanced run/pass attack. Up to the Vandy game we averaged 149 ypg rushing. In the last 4 games we are averaging 229 ypg. The top 4 in the SEC this year: Auburn 266 ypg, Georgia 260 ypg, MSU 246 ypg and Arky 226. Everyone pointed out at the beginning how new we were and they were right, but like all good times we have gotten better as the season went on. I think we can beat anyone in the country at this point with the new balanced attack and solid defense. I don't think the Mizzou backfield gets as much credit as they deserve.
take out the ar and it is kansas. But I can't seem to hate the new kansas like I do the old one.
LOL if you don't give the nod to Arky you can't call it a pick'em!
Wow amazed at the number of comments on this! Go Gators put the bite on these overrated untested criminoles. Everybody keeps saying their horrible strength of schedule and victory margin against said weak teams doesn't matter. If that's the case then Marshall's in the playoffs.
Yea Yea been hearing it for the last 14 years, but fact is we keep winning.
Oh boy this reminds of Jefferson's totaled Z28 before the Lincoln game. I pity Dobb's, Hurd and the rest of the Vol's offense.
