For Kirby Smart and Georgia, a win against Alabama would be more about statement than standings

First and foremost, Saban IMO is the best college coach in my lifetime (60 yrs). IF - big IF - UGA manages to come out on top of what I hope is a heck of a game, that does not mean Kirby would be on Saban's level. We need our program to prove to itself that it can get over that hump for sure, but a win on Saturday would not automatically take us to "same echelon as their rival from the West'. I think Kirby has us trending in the right direction but to get close to Saban's level, we have a long way to go! GO DAWGS, should be a great game.

I agree WannaMontana... beats seeing Bama/GA/FL/LSU etc playing Blind Sisters Community college several times a year. SEC champ (even a two loss champ) should automatically make 4 team playoff.
