Learning on the job? Will learn with time? Good lord, we're paying Kirby $6.6 million a year (more than Dabo makes) which makes him the 6th highest paid HC in college football. THAT'S the price we're paying. There is no "learning on the job". Kirby studied under the best. With the talent and depth that this team possesses there are zero excuses for getting beat by an unranked team...between the hedges no less. Kirby's shoddy game management is a big problem, one he has to fix NOW, but our problems go deeper than that. The play calling has been terrible; vanilla and predictable. Richt was an offensive minded coach who could never find the right defensive coordinator to get us over the top. It appears to be just the opposite with Kirby. It looks like the playoff is pretty much out of the question unless we get a lot of help. Winning the Conference Championship would be consolation but there is no room for error at this point.
