Am I the only one who is confused by Sam Houston being eliminated? The schedule as it's written in this article only shows them losing once
OrionPeaceUGA a classy comment from an opposing fan. A refreshing sight.
They don't need to keep Hooker in to get to 60 lol. Look at last week against Mizzou
USC would not be favored over Tennessee on a neutral site. Where are you getting that?
gwhite, Georgia would get in with a close loss to LSU. The reason Tennessee dropped all the way to number 5 with a loss was because there were 4 unbeatens to rank above them. A 1-loss UGA would absolutely get in above Tennessee, whether we like it or not, because they dominated us. We'd have a better chance of getting in over LSU, but again, they'd probably take them because they'd have the championship. You can cherry-pick yardage stats all you want and say that we only lost by 14, but we did not show up in the big moments of that game. Hooker missed throws on big plays, receivers struggled to get open often, and the O-Line could not get good protection. We only lost by 14 for the same reason that we didn't hang 65 on Kentucky, which is that Georgia killed the pace and drained the clock. I have hope that the game would be different on a neutral site, and I think we'll get a chance to prove that, but there is no excusing or explaining away that absolute domination that we took on November 5th, there's just not.
I don't think the argument is that "no team has ever made the SECCG with 2 losses" I think gwhite is just saying that we rule out a 2-loss team when we shouldn't, like you yourself say with 2017 Auburn. Two losses is seen as a CFP death sentence, for the reason that no team before has done it, when clearly it could happen, and would happen with a 2-loss SEC champ.
I'm always shocked by the rationality in your comments and then I see the "2.0" in your name
calling it a one-read system shows that you know nothing about UT's offense, and based on the fact that you think Stetson Bennett could be a winner in the NFL, I'm guessing that lack of knowledge extends to football in general
Yeah, although I don't think we need all 3 of those to happen. We need EITHER OSU/Michigan to be double digits, OR TCU to lose. We could get in to that 4 spot with either and I think our resume matches up with USC. Though if USC loses that would guarantee it
Idk if I'd call it "total chaos." TCU needs to lose, and OSU needs to beat Michigan. If both of those happen, they are guaranteed in, and both of those elements are pretty likely. And even if one of those fails to happen, they still have a chance. Both of those would have to fail to happen for them to have no chance of making it in. Also Tennessee has a top 10 recruiting class for next year including a top 2 QB so I don't know what that last paragraph is supposed to mean.
Georgia is a very good team with good LOS on both sides, but because of scheme I think they will struggle to get pressure just like Will Anderson, Dallas Turner, etc of Alabama. Because of that, and because of low safety help, I think Tennessee is able to score, and as long as they don't make offensive mistakes, I think they can score at will. While Georgia's offense is good and they can gain yards and points very methodically, I don't think they are built to move quickly enough to keep up. Their offensive philosophy is close to Kentucky's (Georgia better at it but the philosophy is the same) I think Tennessee holds a 1 or 2 score lead throughout most of the game, ties it in the 4th, but then Hooker leads the Vols down the field for a GW drive
Everybody needs to stop comparing the Florida games. Florida is playing completely different since week 3 and so is Tennessee. There's no comparison of the results.
"No team has been able to stop Bowers" ok that's true, but no team has been able to stop UT either. There's no guarantee that Kirby can just because he's Kirby.
