That could be fun. WVU has a great history, great atmosphere, and one of the most loyal fan bases in the country. That would make for some fun late-season action, traveling up to Morgantown in late November. It would certainly help WVU with recruiting, coaching, and of course the moola$$$. And Morgantown is south of the Mason-Dixon Line.... I'm a fan
If our passing game doesn't improve, he's going to be wearing the wrong color orange. It'd be a shame to lose a guy like this from our back yard
Never mind, I misunderstood your comment. Carry on lol
Looks like Tennessee's last year???? What??? We played two playoff teams and were 9th in the country in SOS. Don't understand your logic, but okay
Bootlegs are usually designed to be quick, short yardage plays. In order to convert on those 3&10+ plays, you have to stay in the pocket and let the receivers get downfield on their routes. Pocket passing is an essential part of every offense. Look at Cam Newton, Russel Wilson, and even Aaron Rodgers. Great athletes that are effective runners, but also great pocket passers. DeBord has to call those plays. Look at the bowl game. They added a package where Dobbs went under center and dropped back in the pocket. They used it twice and both times it resulted in 20+ yard gains.
That's an impressive reel right there. Glad we got him one last year
Von Pearson had a 121 yd game against South Carolina. That and Malone's 103 yd game against UK were the only 100+ yd games by receivers. Although, Preston Williams had 98 yd 2TD game against WCU.
You know, a lot of the real Tennessee fans were expecting an 8-4 season. It was the media that was blowing everything out of proportion. So when we lost those close games, the media was real quick to ridicule the fan base for having such high expectations. It really doesn't make sense. Yeah, we have a lot of temperamental fans, but again, most were expecting an 8-4 season with a decent bowl. Just more bad journalism
"Their coach is winning." yeah, if winning includes losing to Toledo and Texas Tech. We have the same record as Arkansas, just give it a rest dude. We didn't play well today, but we still found a way to win. To me that's a positive
According to the media, no this is not where this "touted" team is supposed to be. Butch has been saying ever since spring practice that this might not be the year and we're still not ready. Also, for a lot of the more educated Vol fans, 8-4 was a reasonable prediction
Don't worry, it's SDS. It's not REAL journalism.
>In before SevenT comes out from under his bridge
It's funny how you comment on all the Tennessee posts...
First of all you said "Old Miss." Second, unlike Ole Miss, we have actually won something in the past. Third, your Kitty Cats are coming off a 5-7 season after starting the season 5-1... Fourth, after winning 29 of the last thirty meetings, including a 50-16 rout last year, Kentucky fans still insist that this is a rivalry game. So yes, we will continue bragging about beating the Big Blue as long as it is still considered a rivalry (same goes for Vandy). We finished 7-5. UK finished 5-7. We had a better season than you.
They don't care lol. I gave up trying to correct them
And I would consider it good news that we play Georgia at home AND have a bye week before Bama...
We didn't play Arkansas last year. My goodness guys, sign me up as an editor.
The Gamecocks beat South Carolina in the 2014 Mizzou game?
His point is your defense kept you in games last year. It wasnt't Mauk that was making big plays at the end it was always the defense coming up with a big stop or turnover
I wore my KC jersey to a few games last year. EB is an excellent ball player, but even better man. No doubt he'll tackle this setback and come back just as strong
Yeah that confused the hell out of me. I was like "Who in the world is Alex Wolfe? Didn't Helm leave the program?" lol
Yes Worley was hurt. He went down with a torn Labrum after the Ole Miss game. As for his loss to Mizzou, look at our O-Line and then look across the trench to Shane Ray and Markus Golden. Not even the great and powerful Maty Mauk could do anything with that kind of pressure. Our O-Line was simply atrocious all season long. So the logic in him being ranked so high is assuming the O-Line improves, he will also improve. That's my two cents on the matter
We have 4 other RB's committed.....We'll be alright.
So we're not allowed to support our team?
you're right. talent isn't needed at this level...
