I don't know about any other teams but as for Tennessee, the 2001 win over Florida, the 2003 win over Miami, and the 2004 win over Georgia were all bigger upsets than the LSU win in 2005.
Kentucky/Mississippi State more interesting than Tennessee/Alabama? Please. Kentucky will be decent but State should still handle them. Meanwhile this will be the most evenly matched game between Tennessee and Alabama in a long time. Alabama still has more talent than UT but the gap has closed a lot the past few years.
Just going by populations within city limits paints an incomplete picture. Metro Areas and Combined Areas are a much better way. By that measure, Atlanta has 6 million, Nashville 1.7 million and Knoxville has about 1.1 million.
Good for UGA Curtis, the Dawgs actually took advantage of UT being at its lowest point in its history. 5 straight is good but it's not 9 striaght. 89, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99. Those numbers mean anything to you or did Dawg fans block that out?
Per UT's website, their erollment is 27,410. According to Florida's website, their enrollment is 51,725. A&M's website says their enrollment is 58,577. Alabama's website says their enrollment is 36,155. Georgia says 35,197. Kentucky says 28,435. Mizzou says 35,411. LSU says 30,451. Arkansas says 26,301. South Carolina says 32,972. Wonder why there is such a big discrepancy?
LMAO! Predicting a season in which Georgia doesn't pull a Georgia?
Brad Crawford is the same guy that picked Tennessee to go 4-8 last year and lose to Vanderbilt. He also said Tennessee was "locked in" to the Liberty Bowl like 5 minutes before it was announced they were going to the TaxSlayer Bowl. Obviously this should all be taken with a grain of salt.
Georgia actually doesn't lead the series. It's tied. Research?
Don't expect any accuracy from this Christopher Smith guy. He still hasn't fixed his error with the conference championships on his previous post. Ivy League or FCS schools really shouldn't be included on this list. The comparison should be among FBS schools.
Georgia actually doesn't have more conference titles BTucker. Georgia has 14 total and 12 SEC titles. Tennessee has 16 total and 13 SEC titles. The writer apparently used Wikipedia and not the official school sites. Prior to the formation of the SEC the founding members of the SEC were in the SIAC and later the Southern Conference. UT's Wikipedia only lists its SEC titles while Georgia's lists their total number. That's why colleges won't let you use Wikipedia as a reference.
