A lot has changed since the last time Florida lost a game to Tennessee. Check out this list of facts, figures and tidbits from the Gators’ 11-year run over the Volunteers:

1. If a Tennessee fan uses his or her iPhone to post a tweet celebrating a Tennessee win over Florida, it will be their first time. Twitter was first launched on July 15, 2006. Apple’s first iPhone went on sale June 29, 2007.

2. You need a second win for it to be the start of a streak. Florida’s second victory, in 2006, is best remembered for Tim Tebow, a freshman, converting a 4th-and-1 in the fourth quarter when Florida trailed 20-14. Tebow’s conversion kept the drive alive, and the Gators would score a touchdown on the drive and go up 21-20, hanging on to win the game.

Florida fans can relive the play at the 11:13 mark in the video below:

3. Austin Appleby will be the third UF backup quarterback to see significant playing time against Tennessee during this streak. Tyler Murphy replaced an injured Jeff Driskel in the 2013 game. Driskel didn’t have much luck the next year, either, as he was benched for the fourth quarter in favor of Treon Harris.

4. Butch Jones is in danger of becoming the second head coach to go 0-4 during Florida’s streak. Phillip Fulmer lost to Urban Meyer from 2005-2008, his final season. Fulmer was succeeded by Lane Kiffin.

5. Speaking of Kiffin, he was on the opposing sidelines for the Vols’ loss No. 5. And get ready to gag, Florida fans. In 2012, ESPN asked Kiffin why he sports a visor on the sidelines, as he did in The Swamp in the 2009 game:

“Spurrier. Growing up and watching him, I was always intrigued by him, watching him at Florida. You know, just the way he ran the offense and his confidence and his visor … and he doesn’t know that story.”

6. Meyer is still the dominant coach of the streak, going 6-0 from 2005-2010.

7. Lucky No. 7 came in Will Muschamp’s debut season (2011), a 33-23 win for the Gators. Muschamp finished 4-0 against two SEC teams during his Florida tenure: Kentucky and Tennessee.

8. If Florida wins Saturday, it will mark the eighth consecutive graduating class that can boast a perfect record against the Volunteers. Going by the maximum of five years on a college roster, the 2009 class was the first group of seniors since the start of the streak (2005) to never experience a loss to UT.

9. Tennessee QB Joshua Dobbs was 9 years old the last time the Volunteers beat Florida (2004).

10. The streak has given Florida fans two fun ways to refer to the UT team in recent years: “10ESSEE” and “VO11S.” No word yet on a new one if win No. 12 happens Saturday.

11. On the final two drives of the game last year, Will Grier completed 11-of-17 passes for 141 yards.
