Staying home: Rising Florida dual-threat QB Anthony Richardson commits to Gators
The Florida Gators picked up their third commitment for the class of 2020 Saturday.
Dual-threat QB Anthony Richardson (Gainesville, FL) committed to the Gators over offers from Louisville and Virginia Tech, among others. The rising junior currently is rated a 3-star prospect by 247Sports and Rivals, but the 6-foot-4, 205-pound signal caller projects really well. He could be the state of Florida’s top QB in the class of 2020, and it’s a huge deal to keep in in Gainesville.
The Gators offered Richardson a scholarship May 17, and he’s visited twice since that time. Dan Mullen is the QB wizard, and no doubt he has a lot to work with in Richardson.
