Billy Napier and Florida will take on Missouri this week, and the Gators will get a test from the Tigers’ defensive line, the coach said.

“They’ve got a really good (defensive) front. Unique players inside and on the edges,” Napier said on the SEC coaches media teleconference. “You’ve got some height and length on the edges and they’ve got some depth there. … They’ve done a good job, added a few transfers, some veteran players. … I think it’s one of the strengths of their team.”

Speaking of defensive linemen, Napier praised the improvement of Florida’s Geron Dexter, who has 17 tackles this season.

“Gervon, going into the season was still to some degree and inexperienced player. … I think Gervon’s a bright young man who has great skills, has great character and works hard to improve. … Certainly excited about the way he affects the other players on our team. I think he’s got some leadership traits,” Napier said.

Missouri has won 3 of the last 5 games in the series, including last year. The Tigers lead the all-time series, 6-5.
