Florida will be looking to pull off an upset when LSU comes to Gainesville on Saturday.

It could be a game that defines the Gators’ season. And their players know it.

“It’s the biggest game of the year for both teams,” Florida defensive back Chauncey Gardner-Johnson said on Monday, according to 247sports.com.

The Gators are ranked No. 22 after their win over Mississippi State this past Saturday. They are 4-1 with their only loss coming against Kentucky, now ranked No. 13, on Sept. 8.

The past two weeks, Florida has picked up a pair of wins over SEC rivals on the road — Tennessee and Mississippi State.

“Just the way we played as a whole, I think, last week and even the week before as well, two hostile environments, our guys pulled together and focused in,” Gators quarterback Feleipe Franks said, per 247sports.com.

But the challenge could be even greater when undefeated LSU, ranked No. 5, comes to town this week.

The Gators and Tigers are set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
