Eugene Wilson III, Florida 4-star WR commit, shows off SEC speed on TD catch
Eugene Wilson III is bringing SEC speed to the Florida receiving corps in 2023. The blue-chip Gator pledge showed off his playmaking ability in space making his first catch of the season.
Wilson’s Tampa Gaither squad is at home against Jefferson on Friday. On his first catch, Wilson turned on the burners and made the Jefferson defense miss, making it a long touchdown pass.
Corey Bender of On3 shared video of the highlight reception:

Wilson’s second catch of the night also reportedly went for 6 points.
Another @EwilsonIII21 catch, another @GaitherFootbal1 touchdown.
Two receptions, two touchdowns for the #Gators commit.
Impressive double move downfield to break free. Very difficult to contain one-on-one.

Wilson committed to Florida on July 8. On the 247Sports composite rankings, Wilson is rated 4-stars, the No. 15 ATH and No. 183 prospect overall in the class of 2023. While ATH is a multi-position designation, it’s clear that Wilson’s future is as a wide receiver at Florida.
