Florida has added a new off-field recruiting staffer.

Former Southern Miss wide receivers coach Kelvin Bolden tweeted Friday that he has accepted an Assistant Director of Player Personnel position at UF.

Bolden has been coaching since 2014. In September 2020, he was promoted to wide receivers coach at Southern Miss, his alma mater. He had returned to Southern Miss in the spring of 2020 as an offensive quality control coach after spending two seasons on staff at Arkansas as a graduate assistant working with wide receivers.

Prior to his two seasons at Arkansas, Bolden has worked with wide receivers as an assistant at Shorter University (2017), Pearl River Community College (2015-16) and Ocean Springs High School (2014).

Bolden’s Southern Miss bio states he played his final two seasons of collegiate football for the Golden Eagles (2010-11) and caught 104 passes for 1,393 yards and 13 career touchdown receptions. His senior season saw the team win a school-record 12 games, win a Conference USA title and collect a Hawai’i Bowl victory.
