It appears reports that a deal for UCF head coach Scott Frost to become Nebraska’s next head coach are inaccurate.

One report which surfaced Saturday morning indicated a deal between Frost and Nebraska was close to being done. Everything remains speculation at this point, and Frost took time to address the issue head on after UCF took down Temple.

The Lincoln Journal Star shared Frost’s comments on the potential deal with Nebraska, and he labeled those reports as untrue:

“That is completely false,” Frost told reporters. “I can promise you no deal has been made.”

Frost has been linked to Nebraska and the open head coaching job at Florida, but everything to this point is still speculation.

He has done a remarkable job at UCF after serving as the offensive coordinator at Oregon. The Knights are 10-0 this season after a 6-7 campaign in Frost’s first year with the team.
