Florida will have to replace DE Cece Jefferson (graduation), DL Khairi Clark (graduation) and DE Jacahi Polite (NFL Draft) in 2019, but one defensive lineman has announced he’ll return.

Adam Shuler announced he will be back for a redshirt senior season Saturday via his Twitter account. A 2015 signee at West Virginia, he redshirted (2015) and played two seasons (2016-17) before graduating and transferring to UF. His inclusion in a tweet listing Gators who graduated from UF led to some speculation about his future.

Shuler wasn’t a marquee name on Florida’s defense in 2018, but he appeared in all 13 games, recording 39 total tackles including 3.5 for loss and 1.5 sacks. He also had five quarterback hurries.

He joins RB Lamical Perine and WR Tyrie Cleveland as Gators to announce they will return for 2019.
