Georgia beat Florida each of the last two times that the SEC rivals have faced off. But the Gators are a better team this season. And one of their former player says so.

Former Florida defensive back Major Wright made an appearance in the team’s hype video this week, which was released on Twitter on Thursday, and he opens the clip by stating about those previous losses, “That was the past.”

This year’s Gators are 7-1, and they’ve been impressive enough to climb up to No. 6 in the AP Top 25 poll. But Saturday’s game against the No. 8 Bulldogs will be one of the biggest games of the season, as it will likely decide which of the two teams wins the SEC East and has the opportunity to play in the conference championship game this year.

Florida fans are surely already excited. But if they need to get even more hyped up, Wright can help them do that with this intense video:

Florida has played two other ranked teams this season and had split results. The Gators beat Auburn on Oct. 5, but they lost to LSU, which is now the No. 1 team in the country, the following week on Oct. 12.

Georgia also has only one loss, but it was a surprising one, as the Bulldogs lost to South Carolina in double overtime at home on Oct. 12.

On Saturday, the Gators and Bulldogs will kick off in Jacksonville at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
