Much has been made this week about the Florida-Tennessee rivalry losing some luster from the glory days when it was a marquee matchup that often brought ESPN’s “College GameDay” to town alongside the “SEC on CBS.”

The hype video below highlights several of those memorable plays when both programs were in better position in the SEC and nationally.

Now the storylines are Jeremy Pruitt’s leadership at Tennessee and the change in quarterback at Florida as the Gators are now led by Kyle Trask following the injury to Feleipe Franks.

Trask, a junior, completed 9-of-13 passes against Kentucky for 126 yards. He scored a touchdown with a 4-yard run in the win at UK last week. Two of Florida’s best players, WR Kadarius Toney and DB C.J. Henderson, did not play against Kentucky because of injuries.

Florida coach Dan Mullen has hinted at playing both QB Emory Jones and Trask at the same time this week.

Florida’s won two straight in the series, 13 of the past 14 matchups and holds a 28-20 edge in the overall matchup.

The game will kickoff at noon on ESPN from Gainesville.
