Less than a week out from National Signing Day, a Florida offensive lineman announced he has reopened his recruitment.

A. Crawford Mosley product Adrein Strickland tweeted Sunday, “I’m OFFICIALLY reopening my recruitment up again!”

From Lynn Haven, Florida, Strickland had been committed to the Gators since May 12, 2020.

Listed at 6-6, 330 pounds, he is rated 3-stars, the No. 113 offensive tackle, No. 168 recruit in Florida and No. 1,287 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2021 on the 247Sports Composite.

Strickland also received scholarship offers from Florida Atlantic, Iowa State, Maryland, Southern Miss and UCF. He follows Trevonte Rucker, Javonte Gardner and Charles Montgomery as former UF 2021 pledges who have either decommitted or signed elsewhere since Dec. 16, 2020, Day 1 of December’s Early Signing Period.

JUCO offensive lineman and former Lakeland standout Deyavie Hammond, who signed in December 2018 as part of Florida’s 2019 class, is the remaining non-portal UF 2021 pledge listed on 247Sports. On Nov. 18, 2020, Hammond tweeted, “I will not be enrolling at the university in the spring and will enroll in the summer of 2021.”
